The Latest Scoop - a personal note from Mary Beth

Warmest greetings to each of you! I hope you’ve been enjoying this magnificent season of celebration with your family and friends. Exceedingly grateful for each valued, supportive listener, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a Christmas and New Year filled with blessings of peace and joy!

NEW: A Book Release! I was honored to be invited to coauthor Words of Wisdom ... Experts Share Strategies for Mastering Life and Business Relationships. (Click here for details on our presale offer.) When contacted about contributing to this book, my first questions were, "How did you find me, and why would you assume I'm an author? I write music and lyrics. But thank you for your consideration." I'm neither an "expert" on relationships, nor am I consciously cognizant of "strategies" to build those relationships. I'm not a sociologist or a psychologist, but I sure do love and care about an awful lot of people, value lifetime relationships, and thought I could give this a try. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed the entire process!

I titled my segment "Sustaining Meaningful Relationships ... A Pathway to Harmony". Grateful to learn a lot about myself throughout this project, I found that I'm better equipped to offer practical applications and help with relationship-building skills than I realized. It was a wonderful opportunity to personally assess these skills and consider how to share what I've learned from my own life and business experiences. I also discovered I'm more resilient and perseverant than I gave myself credit for. These are two of many character qualities to which I referred in the book that are strong indicators of whether a relationship endures the test of time and its many challenges. My experiences with life's seasons of adversity have been the best teacher in developing and honing these attributes.

Other contributing authors include Dr. John Gray, (Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus) and best-selling author Brian Tracy. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the exciting variety of viewpoints and creativity of the other authors penning chapters ranging from "Living Your Dream" to "Secrets for Successful Networking". We live in a world of increasing tension, facing a future filled with uncertainty. We truly need each other, and I appreciated not only the opportunity to share my own thoughts and ideas, but also to read those of other established authors offering solutions to perplexing life situations and building healthy relationships.

I am so very thankful for your faithful support of my music endeavors through the years, and I'm excited to record another CD next year! Meanwhile, I hope you'll enjoy this new writing venture. I think you'll agree with me that Words of Wisdom is a "great read". This new book is due for release early in 2013, and we’re encouraging presale orders at a discounted price. Thank you!

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible this year at places I perform. It's so exciting to receive calls and e-mails from those of you who invite me to speak and play the piano at venues in your community. We're booking a variety of events for 2013 and also into 2014; concerts, women's events, retreats and conferences, fund raisers, church worship services, etc. Please visit our bookings page which provides information about what to expect during a concert, contact info and endorsements from previous event hosts. I'd greatly enjoy coming to your area for a special occasion!

Several inquire if we could ship CDs to friends and relatives for holiday gifts, birthdays, anniversaries and other special events. Include a note if you'd like me to personalize your gifts with autographed CDs and a special greeting. Please be sure to include the recipients' names and addresses along with titles of recordings you wish for them to have. If requested, we will ship your gift anywhere within the continental United States. Your product will be sent within 48 hours of receiving your order.

One of our daughters made a Facebook Fan Page for me. She must have thought Mom needed to be a little more "techie" and communicate more frequently with those who appreciate the music from my CDs. If you're interested, "like" this page on Facebook. Thanks for being a "supportive listener"!

Blessings to each of you,
