When Kimberly, our oldest daughter, asked me to write a song to commemorate her marriage to Paul, I was honored and especially moved by the nature of her request. She wanted to close the wedding ceremony with a song of benediction, a blessing on their guests who would gather to share in the joy of this sacred celebration. I wrote this piece specifically for that purpose, and was delighted to receive several requests to record the song and produce sheet music for others to perform it. It's a joy to learn how people have creatively expanded its use. "As The Lord Goes Before You" has been purchased for church choirs and worship ensembles as well as for vocal and piano solos for special events.
